Late to the Party

I'm rather late to this party, but that's the story of my life. I loved checking out the deals people have found. It made me want to go shopping. Here's my thrift find.

I bought this secretary desk at the Georgetown Flea Market eight years ago. I can't remember the exact amount I paid, but it was a steal. I didn't even have a home of my own at the time, so I actually had it delivered to a storage unit until I moved. I have always loved this piece of furniture. At Christmas, it displays my snowman collection.

During the year, I keep my (small) collection of Belleek in it, which includes my grandmother's shamrock teapot.

The chair was also a thrift find. I found it in Hampton Bays, NY. It's probably been about 12 years now. I think I paid $50 for it. I love the cane seat. I usually have a needlepoint pillow on it, and I didn't even realize it was missing until I uploaded this picture.

Maureen,
Thanks for stopping by. I love your secretary, great find and a great place to display your Belleck and Snowmen.
Your dinner for your neighbor was so sweet. When my daughter had her second son 5 months ago the ladie from her Mom's group brought meals in every night for almost 3 weeks, what a blessing. I'm sure your neighbor was thrilled to recieve your meal too.
Hugs,
Sue
